Charles Marian Russell Oil Paintings

Known as “the Cowboy Artist,” Charles Marion Russell’s career spanned many decades and consisted of more than 2,000 works of art. The prolific artist gained gradual success during the late 1800s, when he lived the life of a frontiersman in Montana - although, he was originally from St. Louis, Mo. Russell worked odd jobs on farms until he began to gain notoriety for his art, which typically focused on life in the frontier. The artist lived closely alongside Native Americans for some time, which is where he gained much of the in-depth knowledge.

Beloved American artist C.M. Russell may have been born in St. Louis, Missouri, but throughout his lengthy art career, he became known for his depictions of life as a frontiersman on the dusty plains of Montana. Russell commanded authority in his paintings because he, himself worked on farms across the Wild West before producing more than 2,000 works of art dedicated to cowboys, Native Americans and the recognizable landscape throughout America’s wide-open plains. overstockArt offers a large gallery of realistic C.M. Russell reproduction oil paintings, which includes some of Russell’s most famous works. These high-quality Charles Russell paintings are created using 100 percent hand painting on artist-grade canvas, making them an almost flawless alternative to a pricey original. With a variety of sizes and styles of frames to choose from, you can beautifully incorporate a C.M. Russell reproduction into any room in your home.
