It brought together over 160 international exhibitors to display art for a wide and diverse audience. It was considered a great success and the most internationally diverse in the event&#8217;s history, with over thirty-five countries participating. London is just one of three Frieze fairs planned for this year, having already been in Los Angeles and with plans to be in New York. Not even the change in Britain\u2019s economic climate could dampen the art world\u2019s enthusiasm.<\/p>\n<p>One of the goals of the event is to bring together art collectors and dealers, to facilitate purchases of art and enhance the art world\u2019s economy. It gives a chance for both the larger, more established galleries to make sales right beside smaller to mid-range galleries who are still looking to get a footing in the business. Items ranging from photographs, sculptures and paintings, to an actual meteorite were up for sale.<\/p>\n<p>One of the largest exhibits was the Frieze Old Masters section. It held pieces that included such artists as Pablo Picasso and Botticelli. This year there was also a growth in the amount of Asian inspired art that was being displayed.\u00a0 Another popular new addition to the fair is the Woven exhibit, which was designed to showcase the evolution in art through textiles.
