Here in this abstract variation, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.overstockart.com\/unpofherpse.html\">Pelvis II painted in 1944<\/a>, she draws special attention to the blue sky seen through empty sockets. <\/p>\n<p>The work demonstrates O\u2019Keeffe\u2019s ability to present what the writer Jean Toomer described as \u201cThe Universe through the portal of a bone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Georgia O&#8217;Keeffe&#8217;s oil paintings give a glimpse into the soul of a tough and yet sensuous woman.
