Enjoying Art Al Fresco

As the weather begins to warm up, one of the most enjoyable things to do is enjoy a good meal with family and friends in the fresh air. Not everyone has the availability of a good place to dine al fresco, so here at overstockart, we wanted to give you something to help you imagine your own outdoor dining space. Sunday, Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte is Georges Seurat’s most famous painting and one of 19th century’s biggest icons. Seurat took a scientific approach to painting and believed color could be used to evoke emotion from a viewer. In this idealic scene of people enjoying an afternoon in the park, you can feel the joy emanating from the bright colors. It will make you wish you could join the crowd.

Vincent Van Gogh’s Cafe Terrace at Night was created in Arles, France at a local coffee house.
