Lilac Irises by Claude Monet, is a beautiful example of this artists wonderful ability to capture nature’s wonder with the flowers blowing in the wind. Pierre-Auguste Renoir-The Seine at Chatou

Pierre-Aguste Renoir paints this radiant landscape of the Seine at Chatou with carefully differentiated brushwork. Long, feathery strokes of the waving grasses make their way into small, thick touches for the flowering trees. Emile Claus-The Asters

In his painting, The Asters , Emile Claus lovingly and masterfully combined the style of French Impressionists with his own attention to light and atmosphere. The careful gradation of the neutral sky seems to indicate that the sun is low and the grasses are shady from the cover of trees and structures, yet the flowering bushes and reeds reach high enough to glow with a warm backlight.

Harney Desert Landscape by Frederick Childe Hassam captures the feelings of summer perfectly. Hassam was an American Impressionist painter who, along with Mary Cassatt and John Henry Twachtman, introduced America to the Impressionist movement. You can almost feel the gentle breezy on your skin as the sun is shining down.

Suzanne Valadon-Bouquet of Flowers in Front of a Window in Saint-Bernard

Bouquet of Flowers in Front of a Window in Saint-Bernard by Suzanne Valadon appears to be a painting within a painting. In the foreground, we are given a still life of delicate flowers in a crystal vase and in the background we see a landscape through the window with a nearby building. This effect gives the effect of depth even though the painting appears to be rendered in a flat manner.
