Deliara Yesieva and Modern Pointilism
Originally born in Russia, Deliara Yesieva currently lives and works in Sante Fe, New Mexico. She is an illustrator, painter and graphic designer. She has worked for many notable publishers and comic book designers. Yesieva paints abstract, landscape and Plein Air paintings on a large scale, and has a special talent for the use of color in creating atmosphere in her pieces.
Many of her pieces use a well-known technique where the image is created by layering dots in different colors. This technique is called Pointillism and was made famous during the late 1800’s by artists such as Georges Seurat and Paul Signac. Yesieva brings it into the modern era by using the beautiful Sante Fe landscape as her inspiration. The Pointillist style is meant to encourage you to look at a piece both at a distance and up close, to show how perspective can change the way art appears.
Set a soothing mood in the room with one of her rolling dunes landscapes like Pedernal View or Kitchen Mesa NM. Admire some of the local Sante Fe architecture from Sante Fe Adobe or Oldest Church in Sante Fe. Farlito Walk in Sante Fe has a more abstract feel, while Sante Fe Store is more modern. We offer a wide variety of her work to try and appeal to any style. Feel free to browse her gallery and find just the right piece for your home.
