If for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return your oil paintings within a period of 45 days from the original purchase date -- all we ask is that you send the painting and frame back to us in the original box.

Shipping a Return is FREE for customers receiving an exchange or store credit. There are no return shipping charges for orders originally shipped to a destination within the contiguous United States that are to receive an exchange or store credit. Please note return shipments must also be shipped from the United States. Customers must retain their original packaging for all returns.
Please note: Any changes to an item by the customer such as self stretching, self gallery wrapping or self fixing voids the return policy.**

Rachel Ruysch

Rachel Ruysch (June 3, 1664 - October 12, 1750) was a floral still life painter from the Netherlands. Due to a long and successful career that spanned over six decades, she became the best documented woman painter of the Dutch Golden Age. Ruysch is credited for creating her own style of painting. This style of painting came with international fame within her lifetime.

Ruysch began sketching and painting at an early age, studying from her father. She later took on an apprenticeship and taught her father and sister what she had learned. By the age of 18, she was selling her work regularly.

After Ruysch married, she continued to paint (which was uncommon at the time) and take commissions. It is thought that she did so to contribute to the household income since she had ten children. Most of her paintings are thought to have sold for more than Rembrant’s.
